This 5-hectare park was created in the 18th century and includes a castle and outbuildings. There is a little stream, “La Biètre”, running through the park, a small lake and canals, and some remarkable rare trees. It is a very pleasant place to come for a walk, to explore or just relax, right at the heart of the town. The park is a perfect venue for various events. Come and take a stroll along the winding footpaths in this English-style park, with multiple viewpoints. The wide-open spaces include some colourful flowerbeds and a central lawn. There are also some areas with dense vegetation and more intimate spots: some of the iconic places here include the canals and Japanese-style bridges, and the “île d’amour” and surrounding greenery. Children will enjoy themselves in the various play areas.
The park has been awarded the French label A.R.B.R.E.S (Remarkable Trees: Report, Research, Studies and Safeguard) for the maintenance, preservation and safeguarding of the park’s trees.
